Three.
As if the culinary experience at Ormond is not tormenting enough food-wise, I have come to realise that dining in hall at mealtimes is most socially intimidating- the minute you step out of servery, you have precisely two and a half split seconds to do a quick search to find a table of people you are comfortable dining with.. or you face the daunting prospect- and reality- of dining alone.

So in the past week, the biggest development I have to report other than the increasing workload is my acquisition of room 205 in Main Building. It overlooks the Ormond back gate and the university footy oval, sneaks a bit of a city view as well. Has two windows, an open fireplace that cannot be lit and is right beside a "private" single McCaughey-style bathroom in a quiet little corner, I definitely am liking it. Owing to the fact that I had classes Friday morning up till 1pm, the move was facilitated largely by Lindsey and staff from the house office; I came back, swapped keys, got help with the final set of stuff from some very shocked Pickenites and walked into a brand new room. Pictures to follow at some stage although at the rate readership is dwindling I'm not sure how much of a point there still is to that. And really what makes it so difficult is the fact that I no longer know how much to say, or what to write about.

This semester I take on three subjects, on of which is worth two. Architectural Design 2B coordinated by David O'Brien but Rennie Liffen, my summer studio tutor, is both my lecturer and tutor. We're taking on a single project this semester, a proposed bath house to be located on a site at Richmond. That along with Science & Services and Modern Architecture make up for a very timetable that's absolutely clear on Mondays.

So anyway. Third semester, third room in a third building. This semester looks promising, we'll see where it takes me.
