And it's turning out to be.

It's already Thursday, and it has been an exciting week.. while work still lags behind.

Sunday was Easter and Karen the kitchen lady brought out chocolate eggs and bunnies and hid them in the cereal, at the salad bar and in the dining hall. It was so adorably festive! I pretty much lazed around all day, for once in a long time.

Monday I slept in and woke up before Ee Lin texted to invite me out to lunch at Nando's. It was a really, really nice day- the sun was out and the breeze was perfect! In the later afternoon we did grocery shopping and baked blueberry muffins (all of which are gone now) and then went out to dinner at this new Lebanese restaurant called Mezza..

Tuesday I walked down to Ee Lin's place to collect my perishables from her fridge, spent some time on Lygon's Borders in the afternoon doing what I do best- picking out reading material and going through them over a few hours. I couldn't afford paying $49.95 for an architectural magazine! Went out to the Comedy Film Festival down at the Melbourne Town Hall that night and by a stroke of luck got tickets to watch Wil Anderson perform in Wil of God. It was my first comedy, and I think he was probably a good person to have started out watching save for the fact that there were a few inside Australian jokes which clearly didn't make sense to me.. Came back and chatted to Janice until the stroke of midnight when Eileen, Supa, Lindsey, Jian Ming and Mei Sze surprised her with a birthday cake!

Yesterday I met JK for lunch at Ajisen Ramen, arriving 15 minutes later than estimated, this leading to an early afternoon of cynicism, sarcasm and talks about life. Later on I caught up with Jia, Mel (both of whom are down in Melbourne from Perth and Canberra respectively), Marcus, Chow Vi, Aik Sin, Wy Keith and Ben of 2201 for their very late lunch at Blue Sky and some shopping. On my way back I also caught up with Matt for a coffee at the Potter cafe.. all of that eating/ drinking leading to a mug of Milo at Ormond dinner, especially since curry is not my favourite meal here. Reeling in excitement from the previous night's comedy I joined Arran and Steph for Ross Noble's Fizzy Logic at 8.40pm. This was much different from Wil's and it took me a short while to slowly but surely catch what was going on- the absolute randomness was definitely not helpful to me! Went on for nearly 2.5 hours, including a 15-minute interval.

There's serious AutoCAD work to be done today, and then perhaps Silly Rabbit tonight.

Lack of progress on the academic end aside, it's proven to be a great break of rest, relaxation and laughter!
