It's all in us to rise and fall.
Just about two weeks since I last had time to say something. Uni has become incredibly busy, workload has multiplied exponentially..

With reference to my March 12 entry, I guess I spoke too soon. Coming into Tuesday with terribly little sleep, I groggily got up no thanks to a fire drill. That Friday I went to the Spencer St DFO with Amy, Anna, Jess, Carolyn, Lindsey, bought the place out and then had dinner with Mei Sze at Donnamonya. We adjourned to Lygon for desserts at Copperwood afterward.. and Amy spent the night at Ormond.

Ee Lin had a BBQ lunch that Saturday and Abby's and Christina's housewarming at their new Courtney St home followed. had a quiet night in just chatting to friends. It was Rosie Willink's 19th birthday do the following night, a nine of us girls drove out to fraus crepes down Victoria St. Really nice place and pretty awesome company. Suffice to say, the weekend just disappeared into thin air- nothing academic got accomplished.

This week started off slowly, Monday night I was delighted because Aiman came back with Krispy Kreme donuts! Spent Tuesday and part of Wednesday slaving away at Construction Technology 2A work which never ended up getting checked! Went to the Ormond Ball on Wednesday; it was held at Eve at Southbank- pretty swish and swanky venue but it was nearly impossible to get drinks, the place couldn't quite hold in the 800 ticket holders and towards the end of the extremely eventful night there was too much shattered glass everywhere. I don't know what makes me say this but the night was great in its own sense but it lacked magic.. the magic that a ball should capture. It's only fair to say I am still recovering from the aftermath..

Fell down on Concrete Lawn Friday morning, cut my left knee. It was generally a bad day, except for the fact that Nick and I successfully constructed out of one A4 sheet of white paper stock, a structure that solidly held a brick up 500 off the ground and Jon and I went to the movies to watch awe-inspiring Freedom Writers. MUOSS had organised a Night Market so we stopped by on the way back.. but not long after, rain fell. I got drenched by choice.. Ramly burger, roti John, roti jala, apom, ice kacang, curried fishballs, takoyaki, tau foo fa, nasi lemak.. so much Asian fare! It nearly felt like home.. got back, got showered and got ready for Movie Night in the Junior Common Room.

Ten minutes into Borat The Movie and.. the screen goes blank and the room goes pitch black- power cut. It's the sort of event that doesn't even occur in Malaysia anymore, we were slightly stunned in realisation of how much we take things for granted nowadays. There was not a sign of it coming back, the electrical supply, and in dismay and after some persuasion Toray and Andy dragged me along on their walk to nowhere. Pillow in hand, we walked to uni, then The Clyde and back to college just as the temperature dropped and more rain fell. It was great just hanging out and talking.. got back and chatted to Kris in the JCR before we joined the ghostbusting mission.. which ended with a chat outside Picken and us being informed that the outage was due to a big fire somewhere in the suburb, and that most of Parkville and the CBD were also affected.

I was ready for a quiet night in.. Lindsey, Kris and Ed were going to come by my room when we got invited to a shisha session down Lygon St. Walked out with Steph, Mei Sze and Simin- some of them smoked up while I sat talking to Jon and Ed, feeling drained above anything else. Kris and Rachel chatted in my room till nearly 3am Saturday morning.. it was a strange change of weather and feeling of loss with the electricity outage. Black Friday the 23rd.

Supa's birthday dinner at Sawasdee yesterday. Helped the Recreation Subcommittee out with Assassins, had a really good chat to Steph Kwong after lunch, and after dinner, Shobie came and slept over. We chatted until I fell asleep (and apparently talked randomly) and then went to brunch. It was the strangest feeling realising that daylight savings are over. Will got up forgetting that and walked to hall only to need to walk back with a confused face. Filled in for Kris at servery today and I've been clearing my laundry pile all afternoon..

So much to do yet so little time. AD 2A there's a 20% assignment, CT 2A is going to convert me into a zombie CAD-er and CT 1A is just a major pain.. sometimes I wonder what it'll take for me to buckle under this pressure because it hasn't been an easy ride, my destressing sessions of writing/ blasting music on my iPod at the Picken 3 A-B balcony have risen in frequency..

..but no matter what I will pull through this phase.
